The most important criteria for obtaining an admission for a Master study in Germany is a bachelor degree, which was at least sucessfully finished with the grade “good”. As most foreign diplomas are not rated by the same rating systems as German universities require, your grade has to be transfered. If your grade is not sufficient, some universities offer a transfer course or special exams, but this only applies for limited universities.
Concerning language requirements, Master degrees are more often found in English language. However, if you decide to study in German language, German universities ask for DSH (Deutsche Sprachprüfung für den Hochschulzugang). In case you don’t have DSH already, you can apply for a German language preparatory course in the university or private language institutes,i.e. “studienvorbereitender Sprachkurs”. Therefor, see our page “Language Courses“. As for English taught Master degrees, you need TOEFL or IELTS not older than 2 years.
If you fulfill the abovementioned criteria, our team can assist you directly in finding the best and most suitable universities.
